Welcome to Saint Joseph Basketball - Needham, MA
The St. Joseph In-Town basketball Program is dedicated to teaching the fundamental skills of basketball, the value of team play and sportsmanship in an appropriately competitive program. The program is made up of four divisions:
5th and 6th grade boys
7th and 8th grade girls
7th and 8th grade boys

The program is for all children who either live in Needham, Massachusetts or attend St. Joseph's schools in grades 5th through 8th. The league was formed in 1983 and has grown to serve approximately 700 players per year.
The league's practices and games are conducted at one of the two gyms at the St Joseph parish in the center of town. The season runs from November through March. For each team there are on average two events per week (practices or games). The days / times of the events vary per week and occur weeknights, weekend days and weekend evenings. |

Important Dates
Knights of Columbus is conducting their annual free throw contest. It is being held on Saturday, January 16 from 8:00 to 12:00 in the Parish Center Gym. Age groups from 10 to 14 years old. It is free to all.
Needham High School is having free entrance nights for any player in St Joes league if accompanied by a paying adult. Players should wear their St Joes uniform shirts . The dates are: Girls Varsity game on Tuesday , February 9 at 6:45 vs Weymouth and Boys Varsity game on Tuesday, February 2 vs Framingham at 6:45
End of season banquet will be on Saturday March 27. This year it will be held at Moseley's on the Charles in Dedham. The Junior Division (5th and 6th grade) is from 1:00 until 2:30 and the Senior Division (7th and 8th grade) is from 3:30 until 5:00.
