Welcome to Saint Joseph Basketball - Needham, MA


The St. Joseph In-Town basketball Program is dedicated to teaching the fundamental skills of basketball, the value of team play and sportsmanship in an appropriately competitive program. The program is made up of four divisions:
5th and 6th grade girls
5th and 6th grade boys
7th and 8th grade girls
7th and 8th grade boys
The program is for all children who either live in Needham, Massachusetts or attend St. Joseph's schools in grades 5th through 8th. The league was formed in 1983 and has grown to serve approximately 700 players per year.

The league's practices and games are conducted at one of the two gyms at the St Joseph parish in the center of town. The season runs from November through March. For each team there are on average two events per week (practices or games). The days / times of the events vary per week and occur weeknights, weekend days and weekend evenings.

Registration

All registrations accepted through Sept 30. All players put on waiting list from Oct 1 - 20. Absolutely no registrations or refunds after Oct 20.

CAP session, Protecting Gods Children, is a mandatory, one-time only workshop for all St. Joseph Basketball volunteers. It focuses on the prevention and awareness of abuse. Sign up at www.saintjoesparish.com. Click on CAP Training Registration, fill out the online reservation form and hit submit. If you have any questions, you may contact the rectory at 781-444-0245.

  • Each of these will be held in the St Joe school library from 7 - 9:30 pm. Please enter off May St.
